Personal Vision & Mission
All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. — 2 Corinthians 5:18
"Continuous Reconciliation, Fulfilling the Calling" is the vision that God has placed in my heart, and it has guided my pastoral ministry for nearly 15 years. I firmly believe that every person is God's unique creation, with their own personality, temperament, life experiences, gifts, and limitations. I hope that people can open their lives, and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, continually restore their relationships with God, with others, and with themselves. By listening with a pure heart to God's unique purpose in their lives, they can become vessels pleasing to Him and live out their calling in the environment where they are placed.
The year 2015 marked my first sabbatical season in pastoral ministry and also the beginning of my theological studies in spiritual direction. Beyond academic reflection and learning, I experienced significant growth through personal trials. Through this program, God sustained me in my pastoral ministry amidst social unrest and church transitions. Gradually, I discerned a need to refocus my calling of reconciliation: prioritizing the people I serve rather than the outcomes of ministry, and re-centering on building a relationship between people and God. As a result, I have shifted my focus to nurturing and accompanying pastors and church leaders in their spiritual growth.
In addition to my teaching and chaplaincy responsibilities at China Graduate School of Theology, I also serve in pastoral care at my home church, Shatin Baptist Church. I deeply desire to explore and practice the areas of spiritual formation, spiritual direction, and the spiritual growth of pastors and church leaders. I hope to walk alongside more companions on the journey of reconciliation, encouraging one another and being shaped together along the way.
